Islam teaches that the purpose of life is to worship Allah and live in obedience to His commands. Allah says in the Quran:

"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me." (Surah Adh-Dhariyat, 51:56)

Worship in Islam is not limited to rituals; it includes any action done sincerely for the sake of Allah, such as helping others, earning an honest livelihood, and seeking knowledge.

The five pillars of Islam are the foundational acts of worship that every Muslim must fulfill:

1- Shahada (Declaration of Faith): Testifying that there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) is His Messenger.

2- Salah (Prayer): Performing the five daily prayers.

3- Zakah (Charity): Giving a portion of wealth to those in need.

4- Sawm (Fasting): Observing the fast during the month of Ramadan.

5- Hajj (Pilgrimage): Performing the pilgrimage to Mecca, if financially and physically able.

These are supported by the Hadith:
"Islam is built upon five: the testimony that there is no deity, but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing prayer, paying zakah, performing Hajj, and fasting during Ramadan." (Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim)

However, Muslims are reminded to spend wealth responsibly, give to charity, and avoid greed.

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) said:
"The grave is the first stage of the Hereafter. If one is saved from it, then what follows will be easier; and if one is not saved, then what follows will be more severe." (Sunan al-Tirmidhi)

Yes, wearing the hijab is an obligation for Muslim women as prescribed in the Quran and Hadith. Allah says:

"And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts and not to display their adornment except what is apparent of it, and to draw their veils over their chests." (Surah An-Nur, 24:31)
